Highlights

1. Extra Special Dining Experiences. Rotational dining provides the opportunity to try out all the main dining restaurants on offer onboard, instead of being in the 1 restaurant the entire time. Worlds of Marvel and Arendelle Frozen dining experience were the 2 biggest highlights as you get to interact with the characters and watch a show while you dine.

2. Private Island. Castaway Cay is Disney’s first private island in the Bahamas.  Where you can do everything from snorkeling to stand up paddle boarding to riding a bike around the island and so much more. There is also a special adult’s only area where you can go to sip on cocktails and relax by the water. There are multiple dining options on the island, which offer all you can eat amazing cuisines!

3. Character Meet Ups. Every day onboard the cruise I was able to meet a new Disney character. They have photo opportunities as well so you are able to take photos with all your favourite Disney characters. On the Disney app you will be able to see where and what time your favourite character will be available for you to meet them. But they are also walking around the ship from time to time, so keep an eye out!

4. Post Dinner Shows. I was lucky enough to get to watch 2 of the shows that Disney will be offering on the Disney Wish cruises at the Walt Disney Theatre.  They were Disney Seas the Adventure and The Little Mermaid. These shows are on offer 2 times a night so you will be able to watch them either before or after your dinner, depending on what dining seating you have. Both were amazing productions that you should definitely not miss out on!

5. Little Details. There are so many little details that make this cruise extra special. From adding the melody from the song in Cinderella wrapped around the chandelier in the nightingale bar to special cutlery in the restaurants to match the theme.

Top Tips

1. Theme Nights. Make sure you refer to the Disney website to check what theme nights you have will onboard. We had a pirate themed night with a big party on the deck and a live pirate band followed by fireworks at sea, which was magical!

2. Disney App. Make sure to download the Disney cruise app as this will give you all the information on the day to day and upcoming activities you can do onboard. As well as telling you where you’re dining for each evening.

3. Pre and Post Cruise Stay. Extend your stay and go to at least one of the Disney theme parks and resorts. There are transfers to take you to and from a Disney resort on Embarkation and Debarkation day.

4. Interactions. As soon as you get on board you will be given ‘a magic wand’ which you will use throughout the cruise. Examples waving your wand and the curtain at the show will rise!

5. Star Wars Hyperspace Lounge. Make sure you make a reservation early as this bar gets booked out very quickly. I recommend coming here as you feel like you have been transported into Star Wars as the lounge shakes while you are flying through space!

6. Bar Menus. Each bar has its own specialty cocktail list that is special for each different bar on board.

7. Check in Experience. The check in process was really easy. I did a pre-cruise covid test at the port but you are able to do one yourself no more than 2 days prior to departure and 20 minutes later I was able to line up to check in. You don’t need a mask onboard however they do have the 1.5M rule when meeting your favourite Disney Characters onboard to ensure everyone’s safety.
